Kelly Hartman started out working as direct care staff in a group home in Muncie…truly, because she thought it would look good on her resume. She was delighted (and a bit surprised) to find her niche. After working her way through graduate school she was promoted to the corporate support team within that company, a national provider of supports to people with developmental disabilities. After six years in the field, and experience traveling in six states, she formed Insights Consulting in July 1996.

Much of what she has learned has been the result of the BEST teachers…those clients she works with face to face. She feels quite strongly that the best way to support someone is by focusing on their capabilities – not their disabilities. Building personal relationships with the people insights supports will always be fundamental.

Kelly's areas of expertise include: adaptive sexual programming, psychotropic medication management, supporting individuals with sensory integration difficulties.

Kelly feels blessed to have a career that she enjoys and even more blessed that she gets to work with so many great people.
