Heather Meyer has been providing services to individuals with both mental and developmental disabilities for over 13 years in a variety of roles and settings. She began in the field as a direct care staff in a group home setting and was soon promoted to behavioral clinician and then behavioral specialist with a large ICF-MR. Heather spent the next three years as a group home supervisor/QMRP and then spent four years in as a manager overseeing a cluster of homes. During this time, she maintained a PRN role as a behavioral consultant. Heather has a preference and passion for working with individuals with traumatic brain injury, other dementia’s, and those within the autism spectrum. She has extensive experience educating staff, families, and community settings to understand an individual’s unique needs and to create and sustain productive avenues for positive transformation and success. Heather has a B.A. in Psychology and a M.S. in Counseling/Counseling Education and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Beyond her work as a behavioral consultant, she also provides in home therapeutic counseling supports to children and their families who are referred through the court system.
