Erin Shadle graduated from Earlham College in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Social Relations with a focus in psychology and African/African-American Studies. During her undergraduate studies she completed an internship at Richmond State Hospital where she primarily worked with the MR/DD population. During this time she also worked with dually diagnosed individuals (MR/DD and mentally ill) in a supported living environment. From 1998-2000 she worked in a voluntary inpatient unit that served the acute and chronically mentally ill, in addition to being a patient advocate at Richmond State Hospital and doing assessments for an inpatient geropsychiatry unit. Erin completed her Masters in counseling psychology in 2003 from Ball State University and promptly thereafter began working for Insights Consulting. She also continues to work at the state hospital. She thrives on working with various populations. She states that one of her goals is to focus on clients’ potential and work along side clients to help them achieve their goals.
